Description
This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Forward link scheduling with quality of service guaranteed in cdma2000 1xEV-DO ' Scheduling in cdma2000 1xEV-DO system enables it to exploit the variation in the channel conditions, and transmit to the user with the currently 'best' channel. However, most conventional algorithms such as proportional fairness are throughput optimized. As the demand for real-time traffic increases, it is necessary for scheduling to provide quality of service (QoS) in wireless access part of cdma2000 networks. A unique feature of our work is explicit provisioning of QoS based on differentiated service, which is preferred by standard organization as the principle to provide end-to-end QoS. We apply the method of the sorting of weighted sum to solve the scheduling with QoS guaranteed. When system is not heavily loaded, our scheme can achieve a capacity gain, and also meet the QoS requirements in terms of delay, jitter, and data rate.
