Description
This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Distinctive features of a strip electron beam shaping in a power resonance mm wave amplifier ' Results of computer simulation of 3D electron-optical and magnetic systems forming a broad 0.4/spl times/14 mm/sup 2/ cross-section for a power resonance 8-mm wave amplifier with an open electrodynamic system are presented. The influence of the magnetic field inhomogeneity on the character of beam shaping and conditions for its best transfer (96.3%) to the collector are shown. Recommendations on decreasing the beam losses are given.
