Description

This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Ka-band autooscillating instrumentation for resonator Q-measurement by phase method ' Instrumentation for high quality-factor measurement of Ka-band resonators by phase method is described. An autooscillating scheme with automatic frequency control system is used in the set-up. This scheme transfers amplification on an intermediate frequency. Examples of measurement of quality factors and estimates of measurement error are given for the open mirror and quasioptical dielectric resonators. The instrumentation is cheaper than frequency-synthesizer-based Q-meters.
