Radionuclide production in the ITER water coolant

By: Khripunov, V.; Santoro, R.T.; Parker, R.R.; Iida, H.;

Description

This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Radionuclide production in the ITER water coolant ' The impact of water coolant irradiation on ITER design is analysed. High energy /sup 16/N-decay photons and /sup 17/N-decay neutrons in outlet water coolant requires increased shielding around coolant system components even outside the biological shield. The potential use of activated water as a plasma diagnostic is suggested.
