This item was taken from the IEEE Periodical ' A Galerkin method for the arbitrary order expansion in momentum space of the Boltzmann equation using spherical harmonics ' We have implemented a Galerkin method for the solution of the Boltzmann equation which allows arbitrary order spherical harmonic expansions in momentum space. The implementation of the method in one real space dimension shows the importance of including harmonics beyond first order to accurately calculate the distribution function in high field regions.<>
