This item was taken from the IEEE Periodical ' Designing, controlling, and visualizing composite material manufacturing ' We have developed a visualization tool for monitoring and displaying resin flow during the fabrication of composite laminates. The tool integrates network-based data acquisition, fast finite element based reconstruction (smoothing) and contouring algorithms, and scientific visualization. It helps users better understand the design process and will be at the center of our intelligent design and control manufacturing system.
