This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Performance characteristic analysis on synchronous motor with parallel magnetization permanent magnet motor ' This paper deals with the operating performance characteristic analysis of high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor according to the magnetic circuit structure of rotor. The electromagnetic field analysis for each model is performed by analytical method. Using the derived results of electromagnetic field characteristic analysis, the circuit parameters for each mode, such as back-EMF constant, resistance, inductance and power factor, are derived as well. According to the required condition for high speed motor operation, the operating equations considering input voltage, current density and power factor are derived, and the DC link value and current density characteristic suitable for operating analysis results and required condition are also derived. Finally, with the comparison of the derived characteristics and restricted condition, the operating performance and possibility are compared.
