Description
This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Applying a Component-Based Architectural Model in the Development of e-Learning Systems ' One of the biggest challenges in system development is the definition of its architecture. A proper architectural definition facilitates not only the system design as a whole but also the development and reuse of components. Component technologies provides a number of advantages for the development of e-learning systems, including modularization, reduced development time, and increased degree of interoperability, portability and maintainability. This paper aims at investigating the application of an architectural model in the development of componentbased e-learning systems. We illustrate the use of this architectural model in the development of a collaborative electronic voting system.
