This item was taken from the IEEE Conference ' Pseudospark-based electron beam production and post-acceleration ' An experiment to transport and post-accelerate an electron beam from a pseudospark (PS) discharge has been designed. The beam will be transported in a plasma environment and simultaneously accelerated by a potential of up to 400 kV. Simulations using a PIC code show that the beam can be transported and post-accelerated under certain plasma densities. The effects of the size of the plasma column and the shape of the electrodes of the accelerating gap on the beam transport were also simulated and are presented.
