Description
This item was taken from the IEEE Periodical ' Practical color filter array interpolation part 2 with non-linear filter ' This paper presents a practical color filler array interpolation method using a non-linear filter far digital cameras. Many digital cameras use a single chip image sensor and subsequent interpolation processing to produce full-color images. Although many types of sophisticated algorithms have been proposed, they are difficult to implement in digital cameras due to limited computing capacity, available processing time and hardware size. Therefore we have proposed cost-effective interpolation methods using a non-linear filter ""an epsilon filter"" instead of a linear low pass filter in conventional algorithm. An epsilon filter has a simple structure and is effective eliminating artifacts on the edges of color boundaries. This time, we again propose interpolation methods using a non-linear filter which gives a simpler composition than the constrained methods we proposed previously and gives the same effective experimental results
