Health Care Reform in the U.S. -- Research Starters Sociology

By: Mandel, Ilanna;

Description

There is no doubt that American health care system is in disarray. Despite the introduction of managed care, which was supposed to help bring costs down, the cost of health care continues to rise. In addition to the spiraling costs of the health care system, millions of Americans still cannot afford any form of health care insurance. The health of the uninsured is at risk and this includes a high percentage of American children. The question is what can we do about it? The answer is unfortunately neither easy nor clear cut. No one knows exactly what to recommend for a system that is literally out of control and unable to service a large portion of Americans.
